Attacked for Being A Democrat

Have you seen HritFiles.com yet?
I resigned from Friends of Kevin Hrit after I inappropriately linked the Troy City Elections to MI-09, right here on Daily Kos. Although looking at this development, maybe my comments weren't so inappropriate. Maybe Troy City Elections DO directly effect the 9th District. Why else would the 9th District Republican Committee pay for this informative website?
I don't know how Kevin feels about this...but I'm proud of him! He must be doing something right to scare the right wing noise machine and 9th District GOP Chair Glenn Clark. Although perhaps Clark is panicking for other reasons...but I digress.
Apology for Remarks

I sincerely apologize for my remarks on the Daily Kos blog regarding the upcoming Troy City Council election. While obviously the election is of utmost importance, the campaigns should all focus on our local, city issues. My background in electoral politics inspired remarks regarding party affiliations, inter-party politics, and future partisan elections, which I shared with an online forum I participate in. Although this was prior to Friends of Kevin Hrit receiving a coalition endorsement, off topic remarks are always inappropriate and completely uncharacteristic of candidate Kevin Hrit. I deeply regret both signing that post as the campaign manager for the Friends of Kevin Hrit and bringing up things unrelated to the campaign.
Kevin Hrit will continue to work closely with the other candidates on the Coalition Slate and focus on the issues most relevant to Troy voters.
Hrit for Troy Council

Why You Care About This Michigan City Council Race:
- Kevin Hrit is a progressive candidate running for Council in Troy Michigan
- Troy is a Republican Stronghold. Defeating Republicans in Troy will give the Democratic Party a permanent foothold with the city's 80,000 Residents
- Remember the push to take away a liquor license from Hooters? It was on national news.
- Troy Democrats are essential to flipping MI-09, a battleground Congressional District
Look at your watch, and then look at your calendar. In 11 weeks, and just 6 652 800 seconds...election results will be rolling in. Why am I obsessing over an odd year, municipal election? We have the opportunity to create a Democratic powerhouse in the city of Troy, Michigan.
The Republican Party is clearly split into two factions in Troy, as demonstrated by contested precinct delegate races in their primary.
Let's take the fight to the Republican base, and beat them.
